Sunday 4th March Craft Barn in Hadfield, Derbyshire- join in with our up cycled workshop at this great event. Its a chance to make a beautiful Mothers Day gift.
Hi, I was in Authentic yesterday with my daughter & we were blown away with your makes. I make jewellery from recycled items & sell them in Derbyshire where I am based. We bought a number of your items including one of your denim containers, so imaginative! Will keep my eyes open to see if you are ever around my neck of the woods. Great products!
Thank you Tina!- IUsed To Be
I LOVE THIS QUESTION...What can you do with this?....take a look at this commission we have just completed of an old leather handbag.
In December I was contacted by a lady who thought she had met me at a makers fair earlier on in year as she wanted some cufflinks made from a special tie. I told her I was not that person but I was happy to make the item for her despite not having made them before. She was happy to go ahead with five pairs that would commemorate a passed family member as well as ordering a rose.
I really enjoyed devising how I was going to make them and was so pleased to receive the following feedback.
'The cufflinks and rose were very well received yesterday and all were touched by their gifts and loved them.
I wanted to thank you for sending the package special delivery so it would arrive in time for my family gathering marking my Dad's birthday yesterday,' Sandra
Went to St Helen's Town Hall yesterday to attend our last fair of 2017. It was a fantastic event where everyone was so welcoming. What a great way to wrap up the year.
We are still available for sales/ commissions. Just message me here or via facebook Iusedtobe Craft. Be quick though if you want anything for Christmas.
Well, I am well and truly into the festive season of fairs! Two events last weekend (Parrswood and Victoria Baths in Manchester) and I am now making for ITV on Thursday and Timperley Girl Guides Friday Festive Fair at St Ambrose School, Hale Barns. I LOVE IT!
It is so lovely to see my makes go off to new homes. Merin bought two heart wreaths on Saturday, later messaging me ' Beautiful works, Thank-you'.

We were making up cycled badges and fridge magnets this weekend at Art in the Park. Leek. Here are are few comments we received...
'Thanks for your patience with my two children today . Was lovely to meet you and they really enjoyed themselves'. Bryan
'You should charge five pounds for this workshop it sooo much fun!' Katie
Thanks to some generous donations of old jeans and some gathering of assorted cans we have been able to make more of our useful and fun storage tins. Comments back to us have told us that they are great for storing your knitting, and finding a home for all those useful but can't throw away bits and bobs. Images available on our facebook page Iusedtobe Craft.
Other makes on the go are using some fantastic William Morris curtains which I am turning into clocks, table mats and more of our popular tea wallets.
Just wanted you to know that you can buy our items at The Wishing Tree in Glossop and Rust n Relics in Hyde. We have been in both stores since late last year and its going really well. We are so grateful for the opportunities offered by Kath and Howard and are looking to expand this side of the business in 2017. If you can suggest any new places we should approach, please drop us a line.
