We have just arrived back in Blighty after a month exploring Australia. We traveled all along the East coast from Adelaide to Cairns and explored inland too. Along the way we met many like minded crafty people like the Sunshine Coast Crafting guild who we making and selling wares in Montville, Qld. Needle work, Knitting, cochet along with woodwork and ceramics were displayed in their gallery. We were particularly taken by a range of knitted chicken tea cosies.
Another creative hub was in Ballerat, near Melbourne. In the Poet's Cottage in the Botanical Gardens again there was a great display of original makes. We loved the finger print animal cards.
As always we were on the look out for interesting materials to up cycle into our own craft and we were not disappointed. There was a steady supply of Op Shops to rummage through and I must admit the suitcases were bursting with vintage fabrics on our return. Watch this space for Ozzie makes!
