Craft Workshops and Parties

I Used To Be can bring crafting events to your home or local venue to celebrate your birthday, hen party, Halloween or Christmas or a simple friends get together. Workshops can last a few hours, to a day- you decide. They are run by Vicky, an experienced and friendly teacher of children and adults.

All you have to do is get your friends together, decide what you would like to make (We can help you with this bit) and drop us a line using the Contact Us form on this site or using
i-used-to-be@hotmail.com or @Iusedtobecraft on facebook.

Costs will depend on what you would like to make and how long you want the session to last but range from £6- £25 per person. There are a few suggestions below:

Timeless denim rose brooches, sewing accessories, celebration cork key fobs, fabric reptiles and seasonally themed events available for children and adults.
Need an art and craft workshop as part of an events programme, youth group or activity session?
I can can design sessions to match your theme, time scale and budget. Our most recent events programme workshops were at Marple Dale Care Home, Marple where two sessions were held. Residents made a collective fabric hanging using stitch and print and decorative garden butterflies.

Art in the Park

A weekend of art in Leek, Staffordshire,UK. As well as selling our up cycled home and giftwares we held craft workshops making badges and fridge magnets all from materials that had been previously thrown away. Here are some of the wonderful creations made by our visitors.
Gladfest
We took part in 'North Wales and Chester's affordable literary festival' at Gladstone's Library, providing a drop in craft workshop over the whole weekend. Our workshops produced Princesses, Fairies and Monsters that could then be used with our puppet theatre to make up stories that explored their adventures.
We had a lovely two days, meeting many wonderful artisan makers and the festival's guests so
if we can do the same at your event please contact us to discuss your needs.

Wythenshawe Park Games Festival

I Used To Be provided arts activities inspired by the Olympic Games to a large number of young people who attended this community event organised by Wythenshawe Forum Trust LTD.

We held sessions that encouraged young people to discuss sport and healthy lifestyle choices whilst participating in a press printing workshop, the aim of which was to produce a greetings card illustrating a sporting activity. Lots of gold paint, glue and giggles were shared by all.
